Bike for the Lake Details and Information

Do your part for clean water, get some great exercise, connect with friends, and experience some inspiring scenery in Vermont and New York at our annual Bike for the Lake event on June 19, 2021!

This year, we are featuring a century ride, as well as loops of 80, 60, and 30 miles along the shores of beautiful Lake Champlain. A rolling start for all riders and all distances between 7:00 am and 10:00 am beginning and ending at Knight Point State Park. Lunch will be served by the Clean Spoon!

Loop 1 (30 miles) – Route Map

Lamoille Watershed Loop 1 – The 30-mile loop heads south along the west shore of South Hero. There will be a break stop at Snowfarm  Vineyard for refreshments. The return trip is via the east shore of Grand Isle and returning to Knight Point State Park.

Loop 2 (60 miles) – Route Map

Start the 60-mile loop by turning south out of Knight Point State Park to the Grand Isle ferry landing. Take your break while crossing over to New York on the ferry.  After exiting the ferry, follow the shoreline up to Rouses Point. Cross the bridge over Lake Champlain from New York back to Vermont at the northernmost point. The route then follows the west shore of Alburgh back to Knight Point Park via Route 2 through the beautiful village of North Hero.

Loop 3 (80 miles) – Route Map

Everything from Loop 2 plus an additional 20 miles making this an ambitious and spectacular 80-mile loop.  The added 20 miles follow the picturesque West Shore of South Hero and East Shore of Grand Isle.

Loop 4 (100 miles) – Route Map

The century ride includes everything from the 80-mile loop plus additional miles over the quiet back roads of Alburgh and Isle Lamotte, with a rest stop at St. Anne’s Shrine, ultimately returning to the starting point of Knight Point State Park via Route 2.
