Join our Team and Dive in for Clean Water

2019 Memberships to Friends of Northern Lake Champlain helps fund our work to create less land use run-off into Lake Champlain and it's tributaries.

2019 Projects that a Membership Supports

  1. Financial support  to 15 boots on the ground water quality improvement projects that reduce non-point phosphorus run-off into the northern arm of Lake Champlain and its tributaries.
  2. A constant voice that keeps lake pollution in the front of state and federal legislators, state administration, and respective state agencies.
  3. Your interests are communicated to collaborative state-wide watershed groups to create a larger call to action.
  4. Education opportunities for community members of northern Lake Champlain:
    • Winter and summer farm meetings with partner UVM Extension Service.
    • Backyard Farmer Required Agricultural Practices Workshop Series with financial assistance from the Lake  Champlain Basin Program.
    • St Albans City and Town Stormwater Education Workshops with partner Northwest Regional Planning Commission.
    • Third and fourth grade STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) Program with St Albans Museums.
