Each summer, the Friends of Northern Lake Champlain hosts Bike for the Lake, a cycling and e-bike fundraiser supporting clean water initiatives. This year marks our 15th ride, and this beloved local event continues to be a highlight of kicking off summer in Vermont!

Increased rain and storm events throughout the region underscore the urgent need to protect Lake Champlain from both extreme weather and runoff from the land. Friends of Northern Lake Champlain is on the ground, actively working to improve water quality for generations to come, and your support at this event truly makes a difference.

Registration Includes:

Cool cycling socks

A catered lunch

Complimentary beer

Bonus: Ride for Free!

We'll refund your registration fee if you raise $250 or more! While fundraising isn’t required, it’s a great way to amplify your impact. Last year, we raised $10K through pledges alone in 2024. It's a great way to support both our bikers and our cause.

💡 It’s easy—share your fundraising page from Pledge It via social media, email, or text and rally your friends, family, and colleagues to support the cause.

Volunteers

We'll need folks to help out on the day of the event with registration, selling FNLC swag, caring for riders at the rest stations, being on our mechanical team, and more. Please reach out to us at the email below to offer your help! All volunteers will receive a pair of socks, lunch, and a beer ticket.

Got Questions? Drop us an email at fnlcbikes@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help you out.

Join us for an unforgettable ride and help protect the future of Lake Champlain!
