About the event
Join Friends of Northern Lake Champlain for a stream cleanup in Highgate!
We'll be near the Rock River Boat Launch from 10AM-12PM; you are welcome to leave at any time.
IMPORTANT!!: Please do NOT park at the boat launch as this space is reserved for those with fishing permits. Stay tuned for details on where to park.
Our efforts will be focused on Rock River and Limekiln Point in the town of Highgate as it is a hotspot for debris as the snow and ice begin to melt. Some areas near the banks may be steep and muddy, so please use caution at all times. Parking will be clarified closer to the time of the event but WILL be available.
Bring your friends and family for a rewarding day of environmental stewardship—trash bags and other supplies will be provided! You will want to wear sturdy pants and shoes, clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring any additional supplies that you may deem necessary (like a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.)
