Missisquoi River Bike Ride

Join Friends of Northern Lake Champlain for a bike outing along the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail and the Missisquoi River! We’ll start at the Highgate Recreation Center and head through forests, farmland, and along the river. Along the way, we’ll stop to explore smaller tributaries, look for birds and other wildlife, and learn about forest and field buffers, water quality, and how the landscape connects to our waterways. The outing will be about 4 hours with time included for breaks, so please bring a lunch and plenty of water! A limited number of bikes are available to borrow in a variety of sizes for both kids and adults, or participants are welcome to bring their own. If you need to borrow a bike, please include the rider’s height when registering so we can reserve an appropriately sized bike.
