Join Friends of Northern Lake Champlain for a stream cleanup in Georgia!
We'll be at Mill River from 10AM-12PM; you are welcome to leave at any time.
Our efforts will be focused on Mill River in the town of Georgia as its streams and tributaries flow past residential communities and busy roadways. Some areas near the brooks may be steep, so please use caution at all times. Parking will be at the corner of Mill River Road and Georgia Shore Road in Georgia, Vermont. This is the parking lot for a local walking trail that we will be cleaning up.
Bring your friends and family for a rewarding day of environmental stewardship—trash bags and other supplies will be provided! You will want to wear sturdy pants and shoes, clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring any additional supplies that you may deem necessary (like a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.)
