Vermont Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) Accelerated Implementation of Agricultural and Forestry Related Practices Program
The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) RCPP is a 5-year program (2020-2025) that provides financial and technical assistance for the development and implementation of water quality improvement throughout Vermont. Funds are available for agricultural and forestry best management practices, wetland restoration, and for agricultural, wetland and forestry elements.
2022-2023 RCPP Grant Program Focus Areas:
Grazing practices
Forestry practices that address water quality
Agronomic practices (especially reduced tillage, cover crops, and nutrient management)
Feed management
Land rental programs
Adaptive management practices
Easements (wetlands, forestry, and agriculture)
All Vermont farmers and forest landowners are eligible, though priority for agricultural funds is given to smaller farms for practice implementation. This program is distinct from other RCPP projects in Vermont and from other Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) programs. Technical assistance is available to help you decide if RCPP fits your farm or forestland.
