Capital Equipment Assistance Program Info Session & Workshop

10/12 @ St. Albans American Legion

Join the Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District (FCNRCD), Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets (VAAFM), Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB), Vermont Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS-VT), and University of Vermont Extension this October!

Conservation equipment is equipment which can help conserve resources on croplands. Some examples include no-till drills, GPS systems and harvest monitoring systems. Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets Capital Equipment Assistance Program assists producers and custom operators interested in pursuing these technologies. The Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District has the pleasure of hosting a workshop for producers and custom applicators in Vermont interested in learning more about this program and support a direct workshop with VAAFM to work through the application process.

Resources related to conservation equipment extend beyond VAAFM, however. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board about their programs, which can offer additional support to producers interested in business support and equipment purchase.

Vermont Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS-VT) and University of Vermont Extension will also discuss precision applications and strategies to optimize nutrient management.

This event is a great way to hear specific program application requirements, have questions answered, and learn about resources available from different organizations to support cropping strategies that support improved water quality, soil conservation, crop health, and business strategies.

Three (3) water quality training credits and three (3) custom applicator training credits are available to attendees. Coffee and baked goods will be provided. The American Legion is ADA accessible. To request a disability related accommodation, please contact FCNRCD by September 21st, 2022. Attendance and parking at this event are free.

Please RSVP if you are interested in attending by calling FCNRCD at 802-528-4176, or sending an email to info@FranklinCountyNRCD.org
